I <br /> 1-22-97 <br /> Plan Review Notes <br /> (Fire Alarm System) <br /> Address, 1025 Old Crystal Bay Road North <br /> Owner; Orono Hockey Association <br /> Inspector; Lyle Oman Building Official <br /> Proposed work; Ice Arena Fire alarm system <br /> Occupancy classification; A2.1 <br /> Requirements <br /> -Uniform Building Code Section 303.9 "An approved fire alarm system shall be installed as set <br /> forth in the Fire code in Group A, Divisions 1, 2 and 2.1 occupancies." <br /> -Uniform Fire Code Section 14.104(b) <br /> 1. "General. Group A , Division 1, 2 and 2.1 Occupancies shall be provided with a manual <br /> fire alarm system." <br /> 2. "System initiation. Activation of the manual fire alarm shall immediately initiate an <br /> approved prerecorded message announcement using an approved electrically supervised <br /> voice communication or public address system which is audible above the ambient noise <br /> level of the occupancy." <br /> 3. Emergency power. "Voice communication and public address systems shall be provided <br /> with an approved emergency power source." <br /> -Uniform Building Code section 1105.4.6 " Alarms.Alarm systems,when provided,shall include <br /> both audible and visible alarms. The alarm devices shall be located in hotel guest rooms as <br /> required by Section 1103.1.2.9.3;accessible public-and common-use areas, including toilet <br /> rooms and bathing facilities; hallways; and lobbies". <br />
