2.2 CONCRETE ACCESSORIES <br /> A. Expansion Joint Fillers(backing for sealant): Flexible,compressible,closed cell <br /> polyethylene foam,not less than 10 psi compression deflection. <br /> C. Expansion Joint Sealant: Silicone joint sealant,Dow Coming#888.Product available <br /> from Construction Materials,Inc.,Telephone number 929-0431. <br /> 2.3 CONCRETE MIXES <br /> A. General: Manufacture and deliver concrete in accordance with ASTM C94 with <br /> exceptions specified herein. <br /> B. Minimum Compressive Strength: 4000 pounds per square inch at 28 days of age. <br /> C. Air Entrainment: Not less than 5%nor more than 7%entrained air for all exterior <br /> exposed concrete. <br /> D. Maximum Slump: 4"for all mixes. Slump shall be determined by the "Test for Slump of <br /> Portland Cement Concrete" (ASTM C143). <br /> E. Mix Designs: Provide minimum cement contents for each strength of concrete and <br /> maximum size coarse aggregates as follows. These minimum cement contents shall be <br /> increased if testing of concrete indicates that additional cement is necessary in order to <br /> comply with concrete strength requirements. <br /> 4000 lbs.per. sq. in. -with air-entraining and water-reducing admixtures <br /> 564#per cubic yard for 3/4" maximum size aggregate. <br /> 588#per cubic yard for 3/8" maximum size aggregate. <br /> PART 3 EXECUTION <br /> • <br /> 3.1 SURFACE PREPARATION <br /> A.
