PART 2 MATERIALS <br /> 2.1 PAVING MATERIALS <br /> A. Aggregate Base Material: Conform to MnDOT, Section 3138,Class 5, 100% crushed <br /> quarry rock. <br /> B. Bituminous Base Course: Conform to MnDOT, Section 2331,Type 31B,except as <br /> amended in paragraph F. Provide an asphalt cement with 120-150 penetration. Asphalt <br /> content of mixture per result of job mix formula or as noted otherwise. <br /> C. Bituminous Tack Coat(Deduct Alternate#1): Conform MnDOT, Section 2357, SS-1, <br /> emulsified asphalt. <br /> D. Bituminous Wear Course(Deduct Alternate#1): Conform to MnDOT, Section 2331, <br /> Type 41B,except as amended in paragraph F. Provide an asphalt cement with a <br /> penetration of 85-100.Asphalt content of mixture per job mix formula or as noted <br /> otherwise. NOTE: The tack coat and bituminous surface course shall be installed under a <br /> subsequent separate contract. <br /> E. Parking Stall and Traffic Lane Paint(Deduct Alternate#1): White color alkyd paint <br /> formulated specifically for traffic marking. <br /> F. Modifications: Amend MnDOT,Specification Sections 2331 and 2341 as follows: <br /> 1. Payment on the basis of units placed and similar requirements are not part of this <br /> specification. <br /> 2. Submit a job-mix formula,prepared by an independent testing laboratory,to the <br /> Architect/Engineer for acceptance. A job mix formula from a current large asphalt <br /> project may also be acceptable. <br /> 3. Do not place the bituminous courses prior to acceptance of the job mix formula by <br /> the Architect/Engineer. <br /> 4. Provide and pay for all samples,reports,tests,etc.,required to develop the job-mix <br /> formula. <br /> 2.2 THICKNESS AND/OR QUANTITIES OF MATERIALS <br /> A.
