G. Insulation Board: Extruded polystyrene insulation board, 3" thick and conforming to <br /> MnDOT Spec. Section 03760. <br /> H. Geotextile Fabric: Per MnDOT Specification Section 03733, Type V. <br /> PART 3 EXECUTION <br /> 3.1 INSPECTION AND LOCATION <br /> A. Examine site areas and conditions within the contract limits. Notify A/E in writing, of all <br /> conditions detrimental to proper and timely completion of Work. <br /> B. Proceed with Work only after unsatisfactory conditions have been remedied. Start of work <br /> indicates satisfaction with existing conditions and,therefore,the responsibility for proper <br /> results is a part of this section. <br /> C. Locate existing utilities: <br /> 1. Locate existing utility lines which may be disturbed by excavation operations. <br /> 2. Excavate if required to determine exact utility locations. <br /> 3. Review proposed Work with all utility companies. <br /> 4. When required, arrange for removing, relocating, or disconnecting and capping of <br /> utility lines. <br /> 5. If utilities are to remain in place,provide appropriate means of protection during <br /> earthwork operations. <br /> 6. Charges by utility companies for capping, disconnecting, removing, or relocating <br /> utility lines will be paid by the Owner. <br /> 7. Charges by utility companies for repairing utility lines damaged by earthwork <br /> operations shall be paid by the Contractor. <br /> 3.2 SPECIAL PRECAUTIONS • <br /> A. Buildings and Structures: Exercise extreme precautions when working adjacent to existing <br /> or new structures: Do not operate heavy equipment close to building walls without <br /> adequate bracing and support of foundations. Repair any damage as directed by <br /> Architect/Engineer. <br /> B. Protection: Provide the necessary slopes and/or provisions required to maintain grades <br /> outside the area of excavations for service lines, utilities, streets, drives, walks, etc., which <br /> may be subject to damage during the earthwork and construction operations. <br /> ADDENDUM#1 <br /> 1607.001 - ORONO ICE ARENA(CP-2) Page 02200-6 <br />
