1.4 QUALITY ASSURANCE <br /> A. Welding equipment and procedures shall comply with AWS Structural Welding Code <br /> requirements. <br /> B. Welders shall be qualified in accordance with Section 6.4 of AWS Structural Welding <br /> Code. <br /> 1.5 DELIVERY, STORAGE AND HANDLING <br /> A. Store decking off ground and under waterproof cover. Elevate one end to permit <br /> drainage. <br /> 1.6 STEEL ROOF DECKING TO RECEIVE SPRAYED FIREPROOFING <br /> A. Provide decking to receive sprayed fireproofing free of amounts of lubricants,oils or <br /> other contaminants which would significantly impair adhesion of sprayed fireproofing. <br /> PART 2 PRODUCTS <br /> 2.1 MATERIALS <br /> A. Wide Rib Steel Roof Deck: As defined in Steel Roof Deck Design Manual,of depth and <br /> gauge shown on drawings;Nucor Vulcraft Divisions Type 1.5B,or 1.5BI,Wheeling <br /> Corrugating Type B or BW,Bowman Type B,Epic Metals Type B or 1B. <br /> B. Basic Steel Decking with Painted Shop Finish: ASTM A611. <br /> C. Shop Paint Finish: Chemically clean,phosphatize and properly prepare surface for <br /> painting. Coat with rust-inhibitive primer,standard with manufacturer,applied in even <br /> coat and oven cured. <br /> D. Welding Electrodes: Type required for materials being welded. <br /> 2.2 FABRICATION <br /> A. Fabricate metal decking in accordance with reviewed shop drawings. <br /> B. Cut sheets in lengths to extend over minimum of 3 spans. <br /> C. Cut sheets to required lengths so that end joints will occur over supporting members. <br /> D. Lap ends of sheets minimum of 2 inches centered over centerlines of supports. <br /> E.
