D. Welders shall be qualified in accordance with Section 6.4 of AWS Structural Welding <br /> Code. <br /> 1.6 DELIVERY, STORAGE AND HANDLING <br /> A. Deliver,store and handle steel joists as recommended in SR "Specifications". Handle and <br /> store joists in manner to avoid deforming members and to avoid excessive stresses. <br /> PART 2 PRODUCTS <br /> 2.1 MATERIALS <br /> A. Refer to drawings for types, sizes and locations of open-web steel joists. <br /> B. Joists and Accessories: Conform to Steel Joist Institute Specifications. <br /> C. Connection Bolts: ASTM A307,Grade A. <br /> D. Welding Electrodes: Of type required for materials being welded. <br /> E. Primer Paint: Shop paint shall comply with Steel Joist Institute Specifications using red <br /> oxide primer conforming to Steel Structures Painting Council Specifications 15-68T, <br /> Type 1 or FS TT-P-636. <br /> F. Non-Shrink Grout: Pre-packaged,non-metallic,non-gaseous,non-corrosive,non- <br /> staining,complying with Corps of Engineers,CRD-C 621 and ASM C1107. <br /> 2.2 FABRICATION <br /> A. Fabricate open-web steel joists in accordance with reviewed shop drawings and SR <br /> Specifications. <br /> B. Provide extended chords on joists where shown. Top chord extensions shall comply with <br /> SR Specifications and load tables. <br /> C. Provide ceiling extensions on joists in areas having ceilings attached directly to bottom <br /> chords. Extend ends to within 1/2 inch of finished wall surface. <br /> D. Provide horizontal or diagonal type bridging as noted, complete with anchors for ends of <br /> bridging lines terminating at walls or beams. Number of bridging rows and spacings shall <br /> conform to SR Specifications. <br /> E. Provide end anchorages as noted to secure joists to adjacent construction. Anchorages <br /> shall comply with SR Specifications. <br /> F.
