C. Provide concrete having minimum compressive strength of 3,000 psi at time of initial <br /> prestress,or greater if required by design. <br /> D. Cast in inserts,bolts and plates as noted and detailed on drawings or required for <br /> complete installation of deck. <br /> E. Provide openings shown on drawings that exceed 8 inches in diameter or side dimension. <br /> F. Provide standard finishes as follows: <br /> 1. Underside: Resulting from casting against approved forms using good industry <br /> practice in cleaning of forms,design of concrete mix,placing and curing. Small <br /> surface holes caused by air bubbles,normal color variations,normal form joint <br /> marks,and minor chips and spalls will be tolerated,but no major or unsightly <br /> imperfections,honeycomb,or other defects will be permitted. <br /> 2. Topside: Result of vibrating screed and additional hand finishing at projections. <br /> Normal color variations,minor indentations, minor chips and spalls will be permitted. <br /> No major imperfections,honeycomb,or defects will be permitted. <br /> 3. Exposed Ends: Recess strands,fill with grout and sack finish surfaces. <br /> G. Minor patching in plant will be acceptable provided structural adequacy and appearance <br /> are not impaired. <br /> PART 3 EXECUTION <br /> 3.1 EXAMINATION <br /> A. Examine supporting structure and conditions under which precast concrete work is to be <br /> erected prior to commencement of work. <br /> B. Do not proceed with installation until any unsatisfactory conditions found have been <br /> corrected. <br /> 3.2 ERECTION <br /> A. Lift,place and secure deck units to supports in accordance with reviewed shop drawings <br /> and manufacturer's printed instructions. <br /> B. Follow erection procedures and sequence of erection as recommended by manufacturer. <br /> C. Align and level members within allowable tolerances.
