Y. ASTM El 155M- Standard Test Method for Determining Floor Flatness and Levelness <br /> Using the F Number System(Metric). <br /> 1.3 QUALITY ASSURANCE <br /> A. Use plant mixed concrete mixed in stationary mixers. <br /> B. Mix and deliver concrete in accordance with ASTM C94. <br /> C. Perform concrete work in accordance with ACI 318,unless specified otherwise. <br /> D. Obtain materials from same source throughout work. <br /> E. Allowable tolerances shall be in accordance with Section 03100-Concrete Formwork. <br /> 1.4 CONCRETE TESTING SERVICE <br /> A. Employ and pay for services of independent testing laboratory(ITL),experienced in <br /> testing and design of concrete materials and mixtures,to perform materials evaluation <br /> tests on proposed aggregates,to design and test new proposed concrete mixes,or review <br /> ingredients and performance tests of proposed existing mixes and to perform tests on <br /> specimens of concrete used at site. <br /> B. TTL shall meet requirements of ASTM E329. Selection of ITL is subject to Architect's <br /> and Owner's acceptance. <br /> C. Test normal weight concrete aggregates for compliance with ASTM C33 and additional <br /> requirements for exterior horizontal concrete. <br /> D. Test lightweight aggregates for compliance with ASTM C330. <br /> E. Submit mix design for each type and strength of concrete. Proportion designs in <br /> accordance with Section 4.3, "Proportioning on the Basis of Field Experience and/or Trial <br /> Mixtures" of ACI 318. <br /> PART 2 PRODUCTS <br /> 2.1 MATERIALS <br /> A. Cement: ASTM C150,Type I, corresponding to cement on which selection of concrete <br /> proportions was based. Use same brand for each required type of concrete. <br /> B. Normal Weight Concrete Aggregates: (Excluding for exterior horizontal concrete)ASTM <br /> C33. Do not use aggregates containing soluble salts or other substances which can cause <br /> stains on exposed surfaces.
