Approval is contingent upon meeting the <br /> requirement(s)listed below. A copy of the approved plans and this report must be retained at the project <br /> location. <br /> INSPECTIONS: All plumbing installations must be tested and inspected in accordance with the requirements of <br /> the Minnesota Plumbing Code. No plumbing work may be covered prior to inspection. The contractor/installer <br /> must obtain all required inspection permits from the city of Orono Building Official. <br /> REQUIREMENT(S): <br /> 1. All plumbing shall be installed in accordance with the 2015 Minnesota Plumbing Code(see Minnesota <br /> Rules,Chapter 4714). All plumbing fixtures and materials must be listed to applicable standards in <br /> accordance with Sections 301.1 and 1401.1. <br /> 2. Water distribution systems serving flush-valve urinals must be sized in accordance with Minnesota Rules, <br /> Chapter 4714, Section 610.10. Urinals must be assigned 20, 15, 10,and 8 water supply fixture units <br /> consecutively,with 5 fixture units for the fifth urinal or greater(see Table 610.10). The cold water line <br /> serving up to the urinals must be at least 1-1/4 inch in size and be tapped off the existing 2-inch cold water <br /> line. Verify compliance for this requirement. <br /> 3. Potable water pipes,faucets,valves,backflow devices,and fittings used in the water distribution system and <br /> recirculation system with lead content must not exceed 0.25 percent lead in the wetted surface material. <br /> 4. Water supply connections to fixtures or equipment which have inlets below the spill line must be provided <br /> with an approved backflow preventer(see Section 602.3). Verify compliance for all water connections. <br /> 5. Valves should be installed permitting the water supply to each individual fixture to be shut off without <br /> disrupting any other portion of the building. An accessible control valve shall be installed ahead of each slip <br /> joint connection at a plumbing fixture(see Minnesota Rules,Chapter 4714, Section 606.5). <br /> 6. Installation of plumbing fixtures in regards to separation from the walls and fixtures shall be in <br /> accordance with Minnesota Rules,part 4714,Section 402.5. No water closet shall be set closer than 15 <br /> inches from its center to a wall.
