Materials used for the subsoil (draintile)drains must comply with Minnesota Rules, part 4715.0620. No
quality standard for this material is provided on the submitted plans.
6. Disinfection of the potable water system must include the following(see Minnesota Rules, part 4715.2250):
a. Following the allowed standing time the system must be flushed with clean potable water until no
chlorine remains.
7. The plumbing system shall be tested in accordance with Minnesota Rules, part 4715.2820. This includes
all portions of the storm sewer located within 10 feet horizontally of the building or water service piping.
NOTE(S):
1. This approval is for the site utilities only. Plans and specifications for the interior portion of the plumbing
system have been reviewed under Plan No. 087584.
2. As noted in the July 14,2008, letter from Evelyn Turner,City Planner for Orono, the city engineer has
reviewed and approved the civil plans for the above mentioned project. Once the sewer, water, and storm
drain have been constructed in a manner satisfactory to the City, the owner will grant the City utility
easements. The City will then accept the improvements. Turner's August 5,2008,email to our office
clarified that the City will own and maintain the sanitary sewer and water mains within the easements. The
City will also own the storm sewer mains within the easements and will maintain them except for the four
manholes that are part of the sediment control system. The owner will be required to maintain these.
3. The Minnesota Plumbing Code is available on our website at: www.doli.state.mn.us/plumbing.html
Prior to the installation of additional plumbing, not covered by this review, plans and specifications must be
submitted to and approved by this office.
Authorization for construction in accordance with the approved plans may be withdrawn if construction is not
undertaken within a period of two years. The fact that the plans have been approved does not necessarily mean
that recommendations or requirements for change will not be made at some later time when changed conditions,
additional information,or advanced knowledge make improvements necessary.
