See Liz Olson's email
below. I really don't know who owns what and found the attached documents to contain some interesting but
incomplete history. Hopefully Mike G. has some background.
I will let Liz know that our staff will look into this and I hope to have a response back to her by the end of next week. If
you need me to stop up at city hall and meet on this I can next week.
Lili
Begin forwarded message:
From: Liz Olson <I.zRIondonfoeeers.com>
Date: March 11, 2016 at 12:12:24 PM CST
To: <lmcmillan(@ci.orono.mn.us>
Subject: CEMETERY ROAD
Hi Lili
I need your help regarding Cemetery Road.
We originally agreed to let Birch's use the cemetery parking lot,
but they were using 100% of the lot plus Cemetery Road,
so we asked them to stop parking in the lot.
Birch's employees are no longer parking in the cemetery lot, but are parking on the road.
Jim Dillman is going to contact Orono about having No Parking signs installed on a portion of the road.
I think there should be no parking along the south side, to better protect the eroding shoulder.
I think there should be no parking on the north side near the entrance.
We need the City of Orono to help us find the correct solution.
One thing I do not quite understand is our rights as property owner.
Certainly, we are allowed to restrict parking in the lot.
What are our rights regarding the road?
L
