re -landscaping the entire area of this intersection within the public right away in
both cities?
12. Will interested homeowners have input on the landscaping plan, and will the plan
extend to the entire public right of way including the area surrounding any
privately maintained driveways in the public right of way.
13. Will the landscaping plan include a protective berm and landscaping to separate
the driveway from the bike trail and highway?
14. There is a discontinuity at the city boundaries at the intersection of Old Long Lake Rd.
and the proposed driveway(s). Will this discontinuity lead to unforeseen issues? For
example, issues might arise due to differences in city codes, landscape design, snow
removal schedules, signage requirements?
15. Will the shared apron (option 4) facilitate a recycling truck? This option could
mean a lot of pavement, which begs a question of function versus aesthetics and
the cost/benefit of such a solution.
16. There was reference made in the Working Session and City Council meeting of
July 5, 2017 to potential changes in the management and design of the road in the
case of future development of the property at 1070 Old Long Lake Rd.
a. Is there consideration being given at this time to modify the apron or driveways
for future development?
b. What will this small section of road look like if development does occur
and includes one or multiple homes on the 1070 property, which is 2.7
acres with R2 zoning?
c. Is there assurance that the management of the apron will remain with the
City of Long Lake?
Attachments
2
