SECTION 15411 <br /> WATER DISTRIBUTION PIPING <br /> PART 1: GENERAL <br /> ' 1.01 RELATED DOCUMENTS <br /> A. Requirements of the following Division 15 Sections apply to this section: <br /> ' 1. Section 15010 Basic Mechanical Requirements. <br /> 2. Section 15050 Basic Mechanical Materials and Methods. <br /> 3. Section 15140 Supports and Anchors. <br /> 1.02 SUMMARY <br /> ' A. This Section includes potable cold water,hot water,and circulation hot water piping,fittings,and specialties within <br /> the building to a point 5 feet outside the building. <br /> B. Related Sections: The following Sections contain requirements that relate to this section. <br /> 1. Division 7 for materials and methods for sealing pipe penetrations through basement walls and fire and smoke <br /> barriers. <br /> 2. Division 15 Section 15100"Valves." <br /> 3. Division 15 Section 15135 "Meters and Gages"for thermometers and pressure gages. <br /> 4. Division 15 Section 15190"Mechanical Identification"for labeling and identification of piping system. <br /> C. Products installed but not furnished under this Section include water meters that will be provided by the utility <br /> company to the site and ready for installation. <br /> ' 1.03 DEFINIITONS <br /> A. Water Distribution Pipe: A pipe within the building or on the premises that conveys water from the water service <br /> pipe or meter to the points of usage. <br /> B. Water Service Pipe: The pipe from the water main or other source of potable water supply to the water distributing <br /> system of the building served- <br /> C. <br /> ervedC. Pipe sizes used in this Specification are nominal pipe size(NPS). <br /> 1.04 SUBMITTALS <br /> ' A. General: Submit the following in accordance with Conditions of Contract and Division 1 Specifications Sections. <br /> 1. Product data for each piping specialty and valve specified. <br /> 2. Welder Certificates signed by Contractor certifying that welders comply with requirements specified in <br /> "Quality Assurance"Article. <br /> ' 3. Certification of Compliance with ASME and UL fabrication requirements specified below. <br /> 4. Test reports specified in Part 3 of this Section. <br /> ' 15411-1 No.99132-CP2 <br />
