Qualify welding processes and welding operators in accordance with AWS Dl.I "Structural Welding Code-Steel". <br /> B. Qualify welding processes and welding operators in accordance with ASME 'Boiler and Pressure Vessel Code," ' <br /> Section IX,"Welding and Brazing Qualifications". <br /> C. Regulatory Requirements: Comply with applicable codes pertaining to product materials and installation of ' <br /> supports and anchors. <br /> D. NFPA Compliance: Hangers and supports shall comply with NFPA standard No. 13 when used as a component of a <br /> fire protection piping systems. ' <br /> E. UL and FM Compliance: Hangers,supports,and components shall be listed and labeled by UL and FM where used <br /> for fire protection piping systems. <br /> F. Hangers and support components shall be factory fabricated of materials,design,and manufacturer complying with ' <br /> MSS SP-58. <br /> 1. Components shall have galvanized coatings where installed for piping and equipment that will not have field- ' <br /> applied finish. <br /> 2. Pipe attachments shall have nonmetallic coating for electrolytic protection where attachments are in direct ' <br /> contact with copper tubing. <br /> 3. Use of C-clamp type beam clamps,MSS Types 19 and 23,for attaching to structural members,are to be used <br /> only when installed with restraining straps designed by the hanger manufacturer for the purpose of restraining , <br /> c-clamp hangers. <br /> B. Thermal Hanger Shield Inserts: 100-psi average compressive strength,waterproofed calcium silicate,encased with ' <br /> a sheet metal shield.
