SECTION 15910 <br /> DUCTWORK ACCESSORIES <br /> PART 1: GENERAL <br /> 1.01 RELATED DOCUMENTS <br /> A. The requirements of the following Division 15 section applies to this section: <br /> 1. Section 15010 Basic Mechanical Materials and Methods. <br /> 1.02 DESCRIPTION OF WORK <br /> A. Extent of ductwork accessories work is indicated on drawings and in schedules,and by requirements of this section. <br /> B. Types of ductwork accessories required for project include the following: <br /> 1. Dampers. <br /> a. Low pressure manual dampers. <br /> b. Control dampers. <br /> c. Counterbalanced relief dampers. <br /> 2. Fire and smoke dampers. <br /> ' 3. Turning vanes. <br /> 4. Duct hardware. <br /> 5. Duct access doors. <br /> & Flexible connections. <br /> ' 7. Duct smoke detectors. <br /> C. Refer to Division 15 Section 15990 for testing, adjusting, and balancing of ductwork accessories;not work of this <br /> section. <br /> 1.03 QUALITY ASSURANCE <br /> A. Manufacturer's Qualifications: Firms regularly engaged in manufacture of ductwork accessories,or types and sizes <br /> required,whose products have been in satisfactory use in similar service for not less than 3 years. <br /> B. Codes and Standards: <br /> 1. State Building Code Compliance: Comply with provisions of state mechanical codes. <br /> 2. SMACNA Compliance: Comply with applicable portions of SMACNA"HVAC Duct Construction Standards, <br /> Metal and Flexible". <br /> ' 3. Industry Standards: Comply with ASHRAE recommendations pertaining to construction of ductwork <br /> accessories,except as otherwise indicated. <br /> 4. UL Compliance: Construct,test, and label fire dampers in accordance with UL Standard 555 "Fire Dampers <br /> and Ceiling Dampers". <br /> 5. NFPA Compliance: Comply with applicable provisions of NFPA 90A "Air Conditioning and Ventilating <br /> Systems",pertaining to installation of ductwork accessories. <br /> 15910-1 No.99132-CP2 <br />
