P. Install actuators for all dampers and control devices for work of other Division 15 sections. <br /> Q. Install flexible duct with maximum length of 4'-0"and as detailed. <br /> 3.02 SEAM AND JOINT SEALING <br /> A. General: Seal duct seams and joints as follows: <br /> ' B. Pressure Classifications Greater Than 4 Inches Water Gage: All transverse joints, longitudinal seams, and wall <br /> penetrations. <br /> C. Pressure Classification 3 and Greater Water Gage: All transverse joints and longitudinal seams. <br /> 1. Pressure Classification Less than 2 Inches Water Gage: Transverse joints only. <br /> D. Seal externally insulated ducts prior to insulation installation. <br /> 3.03 HANGING AND SUPPORTING <br /> A. Install rigid round,rectangular,and flat oval metal duct with support systems indicated in SMACNA "HVAC Duct <br /> Construction Standards,"Tables 4-1 through 4-3 and Figures 4-1 through 4-8. <br /> B. Support horizontal ducts within 2 feet of each elbow and within 4 feet of each branch intersection. <br /> ' C. Support vertical ducts at a maximum interval of 16 feet and at each floor. <br /> D. Upper attachments to structures shall have an allowable load not exceeding 1/4 of the failure(proof test) load but <br /> are not limited to the specific methods indicated <br /> E. Install concrete insert prior to placing concrete. <br /> 3.04 CONNECTIONS <br /> A. Equipment Connections: Connect equipment with flexible connectors in accordance with Division 15 Section <br /> 15910"Duct Accessories." <br /> B. Branch Connections: Comply with SMACNA"HVAC Duct Construction Standards,"Figures 2-7 and 2-8. <br /> C. Outlet and Inlet Connections: Comply with SMACNA "HVAC Duct Construction Standards," Figures 2-16 <br /> through 2-18. <br /> D. Terminal Units Connections: Comply with SMACNA"HVAC Duct Construction Standards,"Figure 2-19. <br /> 3.05 ADJUSTING AND CLEANING <br /> A. Adjust volume control devices as required by the testing and balancing procedures to achieve required air flow. <br /> Refer to Division 15 Section 15990 Testing, Adjusting, And Balancing for requirements and procedures for <br /> adjusting and balancing air systems. <br /> B.
