Temporary Electric Power and Light: <br /> 1) For electrical requirements, the Electrical Contractor shall make all <br /> ' arrangements necessary and pay for: <br /> a. Temporary power service required during construction, including <br /> ' weatherproof, grounded electric power service and distribution system <br /> of sufficient size, capacity, and power characteristics during <br /> construction period. Include meters, transformers, overload protected <br /> disconnects, automatic ground-fault interrupters and main distribution <br /> switchgear. <br /> b. Pay for all temporary permits. <br /> c. Connection of meters. <br /> ' d. Electricity used on the job will not be charged to the Contractor. <br /> ' e. Whenever overhead floor or roof deck has been installed, provide <br /> temporary lighting with local switching. <br /> ' (1) Install and operate temporary lighting that will fulfill security and <br /> protection requirements, without operating the entire system, and <br /> will provide adequate illumination for construction operations <br /> ' and traffic conditions. <br /> (2) Unless otherwise noted in the Electrical Specifications, provide <br /> the following minimum requirements: <br /> (a) Temporary lighting shall be provided at not less than 1/2 watt <br /> ' per square foot with not less than one light outlet per room or <br /> space. All lamp outlets shall be lamped with 200 watt inside <br /> frosted lamps. <br /> (b) Temporary 20 amp, 120 volts and 50 amp, 208 volts <br /> P P <br /> receptacles shall be provided at locations within the <br /> construction zone at not more than 75 feet apart. <br /> f.
