DIVISION 0 <br /> CONDITIONS OF THE CONTRACT <br /> 00800-SUPPLEMENTARY <br /> CONDITIONS <br /> 15.5.2 The Contractor shall request "interpretations from the Architect, through the <br /> Construction Manager" to "interpretations from the Construction Manager" for <br /> the following: Work indicated on the Drawings or specified in such a manner as <br /> to make it impossible to produce Work of the highest quality within the space <br /> shown; possibilities of damaging effects of expansion and contraction; <br /> discrepancies found between Drawings or between Drawings and <br /> Specifications. If the Contractor does not request such interpretation, no excuse <br /> will be entertained thereafter for failure to carry out and guarantee the Work in a <br /> satisfactory manner. Elements of the Work intended to protect against the <br /> weather shall be guaranteed weatherproof and watertight. <br /> 15.5.3 Proper performance of the Contract shall imply correct and proper placement, <br /> proper or published results for products and equipment, fitting and operation of <br /> fixed or movable and operating parts of the Work, including doors, windows, <br /> hardware and all systems and equipment. Materials and equipment shall be <br /> completed in every respect, with parts, connections, anchors, devices, backing, <br /> fittings and other necessary items, and shall be completely installed, anchored, <br /> fitted and placed in operating condition. Before buying, constructing or <br /> installing work, the Contractor shall notify the Architect of conditions which <br /> exist in the Contract Documents which will adversely affect proper operation of <br /> first quality installation. <br /> 15.5.4 Throughout the Project, accommodate various materials and pieces of r <br /> equipment that are fitted to other materials and equipment and various materials i <br /> that are applied to which other materials attach. Take all reasonable precautions <br /> to insure materials, devices, items, equipment or other products can be <br /> satisfactorily applied or installed to each other or work of others and make <br /> necessary adjustments during preparation of shop drawings or in advance of <br /> field or shop work to accommodate other work. <br /> 15.5.5 Materials or equipment shall be installed or applied according to directions of <br /> the manufacturer or recommendations of an association dealing primarily with <br /> materials, unless specifically designated otherwise. In no case shall installation, <br /> including any temporary work necessary (e.g., shoring), be below standard <br /> recommended by manufacturer. Where specified requirements exceed the <br /> manufacturer's standards, the specification shall govern.
