SECTION 06401 <br /> ARCHITECTURAL WOODWORK AND CASEWORK <br /> PART 1: GENERAL <br /> 1.01 APPLICABLE DOCUMENTS <br /> A. Bidding Requirements, Conditions to the Contract and pertinent portions of Sections in Division One of these <br /> Specifications,apply to the Work of this Section. <br /> 1.02 SUMMARY <br /> A. Work includes: <br /> 1. Plastic laminate casework,including hardware and accessories. <br /> 2. Plastic laminate counters. <br /> B. Related work specified in other sections: <br /> 1. Blocking and grounds-Section 06100. <br /> 2. Sinks,fittings-Division 15. <br /> 3. Electrical outlets,work-Division 16. <br /> 1.03 REFERENCES <br /> A. The 1978 edition of the Quality Standards of the Architectural Woodwork Institute (AWI) apply, and are by <br /> reference a part of this Specification. <br /> 1.04 SUBMITTALS <br /> A. Submit shop drawings in accordance with Section 01300,indicate the following: <br /> 1. Casework: Elevations and locations of each assembly. Indicate dimensions,thicknesses, surfacing materials, <br /> drawers,doors and door swings,sections of typical and special cases. Indicate core-materials,edge treatments <br /> and construction. <br /> 2. Work Surfaces: Plans and locations of each work surface. Indicate dimensions. Indicate locations and sizes <br /> of all openings including those for sinks. Indicate provisions for securing work surfaces to cases, window <br /> sills.- <br /> B. Submit manufacturer's product data for stock items. <br /> 1.05 PRODUCT HANDLING,STORAGE AND DELIVERY <br /> A. Deliver, store and handle work to prevent damage, staining and disfigurement. Do not store woodwork in wet or <br /> damp areas. Jobsite storage areas shall be enclosed,dry,and ventilated. <br /> 1.06 WARRANTY <br /> A. All materials to be guaranteed for a period of 5 years from manufacturer's defects and workmanship. Submit in <br /> accordance to Section 01730. <br /> 06401-1 No.99132-CP2 <br />
