D. Install blocking for windows, storefront and entrances according to approved Section 08521 Shop Drawings. <br /> Blocking shall be continuous the width or height of rough openings,unless otherwise shown on Drawings. <br /> E. Install blocking for finish materials, such as windows and sheet metal fascias, with minimum number of joints, <br /> plumb, level,true and straight with no distortions. Discard materials which are unsound, warped, bowed, twisted, <br /> improperly treated,not adequately seasoned. <br /> 3.02 FINISH CARPENTRY <br /> A. Install hardwood with minimum number of joints possible, using full-length pieces to the greatest extent possible. <br /> Stagger joints in adjacent and related members. Cope at returns,miter at comers,to produce tight fitting joints with <br /> full surface contact throughout length of joint. Use scarf joints for end-to-end joints. <br /> B. Secure hardwood to grounds, stripping and blocking with countersunk, concealed fasteners and blind nailing as <br /> required for a complete installation.
