2.02 FABRICATION ' <br /> A. Fabricate structural steel in accordance with referenced AISC publications. <br /> B. High Strength Bolted Construction Assembly: Tightening shall be done in accordance with Section 5, reference <br /> "Specifications for Structural Joints Using ASTM A325 or A490 Bolts." <br /> C. Welded Construction: In accordance with"AWS"reference specification. ' <br /> D. Do bracing,blocking,cutting,fitting,drilling,tapping,welding,punching,etc.as may be required to complete work <br /> and to join work of other trade contractors. Weld clip angles and plates to beams and punch holes for fastening ' <br /> work of other trades as shown on drawings. <br /> E. Provide all holes and connections for Work specified in other sections or shown for other trades and required to be <br /> fastened to steel furnished in this Section. ' <br /> F. During fabrication,provide all known holes specified in other sections or shown for other trades. <br /> G. Fabricator shall design shop and field connections unless detailed on the drawings. ' <br /> H. Bolt field connections,unless otherwise indicated on the drawings. <br /> 2.03 SHOP PAINTING ' <br /> A. Shop paint all steelwork. Steel work to receive fireproofing to be painted with appropriate UL tested primer or left , <br /> unpainted. <br /> B. Preparation Method: Steel Structures Painting Council (SSPQ SSPC-SP3, SP6 or SP10 surface preparation ' <br /> acceptable. <br /> C. Paint Application: One coat,2.0 mil dry thickness,in accordance with AISC publications. <br /> D. Hot-dip galvanize all ferrous metal exposed to weather in the finish work. Paint with recommended primer for use <br /> with galvanized metal. <br /> 2.04 GALVANIZING ' <br /> A. ASTM A123,Class B. <br /> PART 3: EXECUTION <br /> 3.01 ERECTION , <br /> A. Temporary Shoring and Bracing: Provide as required with connections of sufficient strength to bear imposed loads. <br /> Remove temporary members, connections when permanent members are in place and final connections are made. ' <br /> Provide temporary guy lines as required to achieve proper alignment of the structures as erection proceeds. <br /> B. Erect structural steel in accordance with AISC"Code of Standard Practice". ' <br /> C. Attached column bases, beam bearing plates, similar structural members: Aligned with wedges and shims. Grout <br /> per grout manufacturer's printed recommendations. ' <br /> D.
