SECTION 03600 <br /> GROUT <br /> PART 1: GENERAL <br /> 1.01 APPLICABLE DOCUMENTS <br /> A. Bidding Requirements, Conditions of the Contract and pertinent portions of Sections in Division One of these <br /> Specifications apply to the Work of this Section. <br /> 1.02 SUMMARY <br /> A. Work includes: Furnishing and placing of grout for steel base plates,grout bedding for equipment,grout for anchor <br /> bolt settings,grout for concrete surface repair,and all other grout not specified elsewhere. <br /> B. Related work specified in other sections: <br /> 1. Cast-in-place concrete-Section 03300. <br /> 2. Grout for filling cores in masonry-Section 04200. <br /> 1.03 REFERENCE STANDARDS <br /> A. The following specifications and standards are incorporated by reference. Materials and operations shall comply <br /> with requirements of latest issue of published reference. Where provisions of these Project Specifications are at <br /> variance with those reference specifications,the maximum criteria or requirements shall govern. <br /> 1. ASTM American Society for Testing and Materials(specific standards denoted in Part 2 of this section). <br /> 2. Corps of Engineers Specifications for Non-Shrink Grout-CRD C-621. <br /> 1.04 QUALITY ASSURANCE <br /> A. Work shall comply with the referenced standards and codes. <br /> 1.05 SUBMITTALS <br /> ' A. Make submittals in accordance with Section 01300. <br /> B. Submit manufacturer's technical data sheets demonstrating compliance with the specifications. <br /> C. Submit copies of recent independent laboratory tests certifying technical compliance. <br /> 1.06 PRODUCT DELIVERY,STORAGE AND HANDLING <br /> A. Grout may be job mixed or ready mixed. If job mixed, mix in a power operated machine until there is uniform <br /> distribution of materials and mixture is uniform in composition and consistency. Completely discharge each batch <br /> before mixture is,recharged. <br /> B. Mix and deliver ready-mixed"grout in accordance with ASTM C94. Place grout within one(1)hour of time mix <br /> is placed in truck. <br /> C. Do not indiscriminately re-temper or add water to increase slump after concrete is first mixed. <br /> 03600-1 No.99132-CP2 <br />
