Contract Issues <br />L.E.L.S. Local 440 <br />Orono Police Officers <br />Date: October 3, 2016 <br />The Union wishes to discuss and reach resolution on the following issues: <br />1. Article XXV - Duration, <br />The Union prefers a 2 year agreement. <br />C1 The City is willing to negotiate a multiyear agreement <br />2. Article M — Work Schedules, <br />Add the following language: <br />11.4 The work schedule shall be based on 2080 hours Per vear and shall not <br />generate more than 60 hoursyer.emyloyee of Time Owed City (TOC). <br />Cl Through schedule management, the City is willing to consider limiting the TOC to <br />70 hours per year. <br />U2 The Union renews this proposal -further discussion <br />3. Article XIV — Call Back Time <br />Increase the minimum from two (2) hours to three (3). <br />1 Accept — three (3) hours <br />4. Article XV — Court Standby Time <br />Delete the current language and add the following: <br />15.1 An Employee who is required to appear in co <br />one and one-half 1.5) times the Employee's base pay rate. An extension or <br />early report to a regularly scheduled shift for duty does not qualify the <br />Employee for the three (3) hour minimum. <br />15.2 Employees required by the Employer to standby for a potential court <br />appearance shall be paid a minimum of three (3) hours for such standby time <br />at the rate of one hour pay for each hour on standby. If an Employee on <br />standby is required to report to court, standby time is then converted to court <br />time as provided in Section 15.1. <br />15.3 Employeesho have been placed on standby and who are not notified of a <br />court cancellation prio_ r to 5:00 p.m. on the dM preceding the scheduled <br />
