SECT'ION 15150 � <br /> PIPING MATERIALS AND METHODS <br /> � <br /> 1.00 GENERAL <br /> A. All piping materials and methods of construcrion and workmanship shall be provided as � <br /> per the requirements of local codes and regulations. <br /> B. Slope water piping 1" per 40' and anange to drain at all low points. Slope waste piping � <br /> per Code. <br /> C. Lead pipe, solders, flux, etc., are not allowed. � <br /> D. The contractor is responsible for verifying all invert elevations with respect to building <br /> finished floor elevations and site provisions. � <br /> E. All underground sewer pipe within 10 feet of buried water supply piping shall be <br /> constructed in accordance with State and/or Local Code. <br /> F. Vent pipes passing through roofs shall ternunate at least 12" above the roof line. � <br /> G. Above grade plastic horizontal and vertical runs can not exceed 35 feet. Solvent welds � <br /> shall be done with a contrasting primer to the color of the pipe. <br /> H. All water distribution steel and wrought iron pipe, under floor in ground, shall be � <br /> encased with polyethylene. <br /> I. Provide valves as indicated on the drawings and as required by good installation <br /> practice for the proper isolation of equipment and branch piping. Provide extended � <br /> stem valves where required for insulation. Except as otherwise specified or shown on <br /> plans, valves 2-1/2 inch and smaller shall have screwed end connections and valves 3 <br /> inch and larger shall have flange end construction. Install manual drain valves at every � <br /> low point of each water piping system. <br /> J. All branch take offs shall have isolation shut off valves <br /> K. Sanitary,Vent and Waste � <br /> 1. Bell and spigot cast iron piping and fittings ASTM A-74 with neoprene <br /> compression joints. � <br /> 2. Hubless cast iron pipe and joint system, with stainless steel bands or MG cast <br /> iron couplings. <br /> 3. PVC Schedule 40, ASTM D2665 with mechanical ring or gasket ASTM 2321, or � <br /> fusion or solvent cement ASTM D2855. <br /> 4. Pressurized waste discharge (i.e. sump pumps, sewage ejectors, etc.) shall be <br /> schedule 40 galvanized steel. <br /> 5. Piping shall be laid on a continuous granular bed. ' <br /> L. Above Grade Domestic Water Piping <br /> 1. Type "L" hard drawn copper tubing with wrought copper fittings, using 95/5 � <br /> solder or brazing. <br /> 3.
