SECTION 16130 � <br /> WIRE AND CABLE <br /> � <br /> 1.00 GENERAL <br /> A. All copper wire and cable shall be soft annealed 98% pure, #12 AWG minimum, 600 ' <br /> volt, type THWN-THHN. Wire size #14 AWG may be used for control wiring and <br /> where specifically called for or shown on the Drawings. Wire size #14 AWG through ' <br /> #10 AWG shall be solid; wire size #8 AWG and larger shall be stranded. Wire and <br /> cable color shall be in accordance with the latest edition of the NEC. On larger cables, <br /> where factory color coding is not available, marking tape shall be used to identify each <br /> phase and neutral conductors. A minimum length of 6" shall be color coded at each � <br /> end. <br /> B. Aluminum wire #2 AWG and larger may be used in lieu of copper when installed per , <br /> NEC. <br /> C. Aluminum four conductor, #2 SER cable may be used in lieu of copper for feeders to <br /> Unit Load Centers. ' <br /> D. Aluminum four conductor, #8 SER cable may be used in lieu of copper for electric <br /> range and dryer feeders. , <br /> E. The use of all aluminum wire shall be approved by the Local Code Authorities. <br /> F.
