SECTION 16050 � <br /> BASIC MATERIALS AND MEfHODS <br /> � <br /> 1.00 GENERAL <br /> A. Unless noted otherwise in this Specification or on the Drawings, all materials sha11 be , <br /> new and in their original packages. All materials shall comply with this Speci�cation <br /> and at a minimum all applicable codes and standards as listed in Section 16010. <br /> B. Provide nameplates on all equipment such as disconnects, starters, MCC's, panels and � <br /> switchgear. Nameplates shall identify equipment by name and source of power. They <br /> shall be a minimum of 1 1/4" x 3", or larger if necessary for wording. Lettering shall � <br /> be a minimum of 3/16" in height. Identify all pull and junction boxes with circuit or <br /> feeder numbers and source of power using black magic marker. <br /> C. All distribution equipment, such as disconnects, starters, MCC's, panels and , <br /> switchgear, shall be obtained from one manufacturer. <br /> D. Each panelboard shall be provided with a ryped circuit directory. Clearly describe loads , <br /> and areas served. Room names or Owner's room numbers shall be used. Handwritten <br /> directories will not be accepted. <br /> E. The Contractor shall perform saw cutting, trenching, bacl�illing, compaction and ' <br /> patching required for underground raceway systems shown or specified. <br /> F. The Contractor shall provide concrete pads for all floor mounted equipment. Pads shall � <br /> be 4" thick and extend a minimum of 2" beyond equipment. <br /> G. Any cutting and patching required in walls, floors, ceilings or partitions for the � <br /> installation of electrical systems shall be the responsibility of the Electrical Contractor. <br /> All cutting and patching shall be done with the prior approval of the Architect/ <br /> Engineer. Patching to match existing finishes shall be performed by the proper trades � <br /> such as concrete finishers, sheetrockers, tapers, painters etc. <br /> H. The Contractor shall be responsible for verifying locations of such things as piping, <br /> ductwork, equipment, door swings, heights of cabinets and counters, etc., prior to the � <br /> installation of all electrical equipment. Installed electrical work that interferes with the <br /> work of other trades shall be relocated by the Electrical Contractor at no additional cost <br /> to the Owner. � <br /> I. Contractor shall verify the location of all fixtures and devices with the Architect prior to <br /> installation. � <br /> J. Provide access panels where j-boxes or pull boxes are installed in inaccessible <br /> locations. All access panels shall be approved by the Engineer and Architect prior to <br /> installation. , <br /> K. All 120 volt control wiring for mechanical equipment shall be provided by the Electrical <br /> Contractor, unless noted otherwise. ' <br /> L.
