No. 318546; (as to Parcels 1 and 2). <br /> (hereinafter the"Property"); <br /> WHEREAS, on February 22, 2017 the Applicants have made application to the <br /> C�y of Orono for a variance to Orono Municipal Zoning Code Section 78-1279 to allow an addition <br /> to the existing home 64 feet from the lake where a 75 foot setback is required; and <br /> WHEREAS, on February 22, 2017 the Applicants have made application to the <br /> City of Orono for a variance to Orono Municipal Zoning Code Section 78-1680 to permit an <br /> additional 93.2 square feet of hardcover within the 75-foot lake setbadc where no hardcover is <br /> permitted and 3,710 square feet currently exist in conjunction with the proposed add�ion; and <br /> WHEREA3� on March 20, 2017, after published and mailed notice in accordance <br /> with Minnesota Statutes and the City Code, the Planning Commission held a public hearing, at <br /> which time all persons desiring to be hea�d conceming this application were given the opportunity <br /> to speak thereon; and <br /> WHEREAS,on March 20,2017,the Planning Commission recommended approval <br /> of the variances; and <br /> WHEREA3� on April 10, 2017, the City Council reviewed the application and the <br /> recommendations of the Planning Commission and City staff; and <br /> NOW,THEREFORE� BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of Orono, Minnesota <br /> hereby approves the requested variances as described above based on one or more of the <br /> fallowing findings of fact concerning the Property: <br /> FINDINGS OF FACT: <br /> 1.
