SYSTEM#5—ELEVATOR SYSTEM <br /> A. SEQUENCE OF OPERATION: <br /> Onty smoke detectors in the elevator lobby or elevator machine room have the capability of <br /> initiating the elevator recall to the primary floor(1� Floor). If the 15t floor lobby smoke <br /> detector was initiated the elevator will recall to an alternate floor(2nd Fioor). Once elevators <br /> have reached their recail floor they are set for fire department use. <br /> In addition to the smoke detectors, there are heat detectors located in the elevator machine <br /> room and elevator shaft pit. Activation of either of these heat detectors wili shunt power to <br /> the elevator. <br /> B. TEST PROCEDURE: <br /> During the test of the fire alarm devices, confirm that the elevators are responding properly. <br /> Observe and record return of elevators to primary floor. Set any fire alarm device on primary <br /> floor into alarm and observe and record return to alternate floor. Under fire mode observe <br /> and record that elevator control can only be initiated by fireman's override key. Observe and <br /> record the proper operation of the telephone and intercom in each elevator. <br /> C. TEST EQUIPMENT: <br /> D. TEST REPORT FORMAT: <br /> Record elevator recall to primary and secondary floor. Record correct elevator annunciator <br /> panel read out. <br /> E.
