The following is a brief recap of our discussions. Occupancy: This building/facility will be considered as Single Use • Main floor occupancy will be considered Group E-1 Occupancy, used for classrooms. • Upper floor will be considered Crroup E-1 Occupancy, used for classroom, offices and library. • Basement floor can be considered Group E-1 Occupancy and occupied for storage and utility purposes only. Separation: Occupancy separation will not be required. Const. Type: The existing building will be considered as Type V-N. Allowable Area: For Type V-N: • Group E-1 =9,100 s.f. - 1 story maximum. For Type V-1 hour: • Group E-1 = 15,700 s.f. -2 stories. A two story, Crroup E-1 occupancy requires 1 hour rated consuuction for a Type V structure. To satisfy this requirement we will be allowed to substitute a sprinkler system for the one hour construction.
