Klint stated if you sasume tat there ia 20 feet per parking sPace, the
diatauce from the curb cut to essentially the first Parking spot behind the stcyp aign, there is 340 fe,et of
curb. Given that amomit of space, the residents would be able to park up to as maay as 17 cars between
the cub cut aad the stop sign. Klint notsd there ar+e 16 lots im the asaociaition n'tght now, with two of the
lots bcing cmpty and two of the lots being locatod direetly across fmm this pogeriy. The new engineer has asked for input from the Council, which is why it is being brought tcthe
Council's attention tonight.
Gustafsoa asked if Staff hss received aopinion from the City Engineer ar whether he has simply
deferred to the Council.
Cutis indicated she did as,k him if the decision was a Staff ciecision versus a Council decision and what
standards and concerns noed to be addfiessed with the curb cut approval. Ctiirtis stated the Code requirEs a
1(1Q-foot setback from the crner and other engineering standards be met, such as the curve of the road.
Cortis stated the City Engineer generally does not have a concern with one or two curb cuts on a road like
this.
Gustafson asked if they meet that setback.
Gartis stated it is her understanding they have adjusted it to meet the 100-foot setback on Heritage Drive.
