Gustafson stated they did not like the way it loolcod as much as tey did with bringing the
gaza8e doorsound the back.
MaMillan stated they could perhaps have two garage doora facing a different dit+actioxi, and that whenever
ther+e are four gatage doors in a row,it is going to look less attractive.
Gustafson noted that would add probbly quite a bit of asphalt.
McMillan stated the applicaats will neod tv figure out but that she woul.d necommend they look at a
different configuration for the garage. McMillan statod the neighbos will have to loolc a#it every day
with cars going in and out. McMillan stated thne could perhaps be some plantings in between soxne of
the stalls.
Printup stati in his view tho design of the gaiage could perhaps be worked out with the neighbos.
Walsh stated the direction is that the Council wants the setback encroachment to be asall as possible.
Gustafson asked if thc Council is able to give thcm a apecific nwmber. Crustafsan nated there will be
considerable costs incurd to redesign the house.
McMillan asked if there are full drawings on the house alr+eady.
Gustafson indicated they have three renderings and 3D elevations of te cut and fill from the lake side.
Gustafsan stated in order to cneatc the visual for the City Council, they would need to put a lot of time
into it.
Mattick stated thc options at this point are twte on it as it stands or table it to see if the applicant would
libe to redesign it.
Walsh ststed if the application is voted down, they would ha.ve to start all over and that redesigning it
wonld allow them to continue.
Gustafsn stated they would like to table it but that he would like more direction on the side setback.
Guatafson asked if there would be any leeway based vn the avernge width of the homv in the
neighborhood. Gustafson indicated they attemptod to make this twme similar to the other homes.
McMillan stated the only diff'erenoe is the fact that this is a corner lot, which reduces t.e amaunt of
buildable area.
Walsh nated they anly have to deal with one neighbor as far as aesthetics, which is a positive.
nPYfe other homes in the neighborLood have rEceived setback variances.
