MI�UTES OF THE REGULAR COUNCIL MEETING HELD JANUARY 28 , 1985 PAGE 2 <br /> Robert Kost stated I built a house a couple of years <br /> ago in Navarre. At that time I was 2xposed to the <br /> City's Zoning Ordinance and Comprehensive Land Use <br /> Plan. I am a landscape architect and have been <br /> before 2lanning Commissions and Councils. Would like <br /> to offer my services to the City in helping the City <br /> maintain its quality of life. <br /> Councilmember T. Adams asked Kost if he would be <br /> interested in a position on the Park Commission. Mr. <br /> Kost said he would be interested . <br /> Mayor Butler asked that the two persons interested in <br /> the Park Commission say a few words. <br /> Philip Bradley stated, I have worked with park <br /> activities since the late 6�'s. I am a member of the <br /> Scott Hennepin Park Reserve District whicn is a joint <br /> powers agreement between Hennepin and Scott Counties. <br /> I am an appointee of the Hennepin County Park Reserve <br /> District serving on t'ne Board with Scott County. <br /> Mariann Kienzler stated, I have lived in the Orono <br /> area for about thre� years. I work for the University <br /> Minnesota in the Forestry Department where I do <br /> forestry research. I would also be cvilling to <br /> volunte2r for oth`r commissions. <br /> Mayor Butler stated that the Planning Commission must <br /> be composed of two members that reside in the rural <br /> service area as described in the Comprehensive <br /> Community Plan, two members shall reside in the urban <br /> service area of the City, and three mem'pers shall be <br /> appointed to respresent the City at large. The <br /> one vacant seat should be from for rural service <br /> area. <br /> Councilmember T. Adams moved, Councilember L. Adams <br /> seconded to appoint Paul Taylor to the unexpired term <br /> of Lynn Adams �ahose term expires December 31 , 1985. <br /> Motion, Ayes (4) , Nays ( 1 ) . Grabek nay. <br /> Councilmember Grabek moved, Councilmember L. Adams <br /> seconded to appoint Mariann Kienzler to the Park <br /> Commission. Motion, Ayes (5) , Nays (�1) . <br /> Councilmember Frahm moved, Councilmember T. Adams <br /> seconded to appoint Philip Bradley to the Park <br /> Commission. Motion, Ayes (5) , Nays (f�) . <br /> Councilmember Frahm moved, Mayor Butler seconded to <br /> direct staff to change the membership of the Park <br />
