-. ��• CITY OF ORONO <br /> Regulary Meeting of the Orono Council 7 :00 P.M. <br /> January 11 , 1982 . <br /> The Orono Council met on the above date with <br /> the following members present : Mayor VanNest , <br /> Councilmembers Butler, Frahm, Adams , & Hurr. <br /> Also present : Desyl Petersen, representing <br /> Bruce Malkerson, Planning Commission member <br /> J. Diann Goetten , City Enqineer, G1ennCook , <br /> and City Deputy Clerk Woytcke. City Adminis- <br /> trator Benson arrived at 8 : 30 P.M. <br /> Mayor VanNest called the meeting to �rder at <br /> 7 : 03 P.M. <br /> Chief Mel Kilbo was present with all of the ORONO POLICE RESERVES <br /> Police Reserves . He read the ordinance and <br /> informed council all members understood the <br /> ordinance and were ready to sign it. He <br /> also introduced each person and told a little <br /> about each one. Total hours volunteered in <br /> 1981 were 20792. Mayor Van Nest handed out <br /> their certificates. <br /> Van Nest moved, Butler seconded, to appoint <br /> the reserves to their positions �or another <br /> year. Motion, Ayes (5) - Nays (0) <br /> Adell Dahl of the Suburban Community Services WESTONKA COUNSELING FOR <br /> was present to ask the council to accept the OLDER ADULTS PROGRAM <br /> agreement for the Westonka Counseling for � <br /> Older Adults. � <br /> Discussion followed with questions of how <br /> many Orono residents were he�ped in this <br /> program. The figures were 211 people in <br /> all 9 communities� 46 of them Orono residents� <br /> and only 28 of these 46 received 246 hours of <br /> counseling. <br /> Council suggested to City Administrator <br /> Benson to look further into this program <br /> and come back at the next meeting with a <br /> recommendation. <br /> Butler moved , Hurr seconded to approve the CONSENT AGENDA* <br /> Consent Agenda* , subject to removing items <br /> 5 , 11 ,26 , 29 ,35 , & 37 , with all staf� reports <br /> concerning items reviewed at this meeting to <br /> be attached to the original copy of these <br /> minutes on file in the City Clerk' s Office. <br /> Motion , Ayes (5) - Nays (0) <br />
