REGULAR MEETING OF THE ORONO COUNCIL, JULY 27, 1981 Page 6 <br /> Mayor Van Nest read the resolution to approve the WILLOW DRIVE RESOLUTION <br /> closure of Willow Drive between Brown Road South <br /> and Fox Street to through traffic and approving <br /> the installation of cul-de-sacs at three locations. <br /> Several residents were present opposing the closure <br /> of the road stating that they were concerned about <br /> the safety factor , more traffic, and the extra time <br /> for response for emergency vehicles. <br /> Mayor Van Nest explained the possibility of the County <br /> upgrading the road to Municipal State Aid road <br /> standards which would increase the traffic load <br /> considerably. <br /> Hurr moved, Butler seconded, not to approve the <br /> resolution for the closure of Willow Drive between <br /> Brown Road South and Fox Street to through traffic, <br /> as �resented. Motion, Ayes (3) - Nays (1) . Mayor <br /> Van Nest voted Nay stating that he felt that it was <br /> a mistake not to close the road. <br /> Mayor Van Nest moved, Butler seconded, to approve the SEWER AGREEMENT <br /> Sanitary Sewer Construction and Service Agreement, Long Lake/Medina/Orono <br /> City of Long Lake-City of Orono-City of Medina, <br /> as modified. Motion, Ayes (4 ) - Nays (0 ) . <br /> Mayor Van Nest moved, Butler seconded, to adopt RESOLUTION #1301 <br /> Resolution #1301, A Resolution Authorizing Lang, Special Prosecutor <br /> Pauly & Gregerson As Special Prosecutor For The <br /> City of Orono, as amended. Motion, Ayes (4) - <br /> Nays (0 ) . <br /> Butler moved, Hurr seconded, to approve a public REVENUE SHARING FUNDS* <br /> hearing for the Federal Revenue Sharing Funds Public Hearing dates <br /> to be held Wednesday, August 26 , 1981 at 7 :00 P .td. <br /> and a budget hearing to be held Monday, September 14 , <br /> 1981 at 7 :00 P.M. Motion, Ayes (4 ) - Nays (0 ) . <br /> Butler moved, Hurr seconded, to accept the RESIGNATION* <br /> resignation of Robert Fischer, Police Officer, Robert Fischer <br /> effective July 23 , 1981.
