REGULAR MEETING OF THE ORONO COUNCIL, JANUARY 12, 1981 Page 2 Patrick Farnand sent the City Council a letter LAKE AREA SPORTS ARENA expressing his regrets for not being able to appear at this Council meeting to request funds for the Lake Area Sports Arena. No comments from the Park Commission. PARK COMMISSION Councilman Paurus, Orono 's representative to LMCD REPORT the Lake Minnetonka Conservation District, reported to the City Council of vandalism on Lake Minnetonka. He also informed the City Council of an ordinance on lake shore vegetation, and also on a proposal for Painters Creek guality and quantity of water flow improvements. Mayor Van Nest moved, Butler seconded, to adopt ORDINANCE NO. 235 Ordinance NO. 235, An Ordinance To Amend The Amend Planning Commission Municipal Code Of Orono By Amending Section 7.020 Relating To The Composition Of The Planning Commission, as amended. Mvtion, Ayes (5) - Nays (0) . Butler moved, Hurr seconded, to approve a JOINT MEETING* joint Planning Commission/Council meeting for February 4 , 1981 Wednesday, February 4 , 1981 at 7:30 P.M. Alan Olson, City Planner, discussed with the COMPREHENSIVE PLAN City Council Orono ' s Comprehensive Plan stating that the Metropolitan Council is now reviewing the plan. Alan Olson, City Planner, discussed with the SPRING PARK RESPONSE City Council Spring Park ' s response to Orono ' s Comprehensive Plan. No comments from the public prese�t. PUBLIC COMMENTS Alan Olson, City Planner, reviewed with the INDUSTRIAL REVENUE City Council his memo concerning Industrial POLICY Revenue Bond Policy dated January 8 , 1981. The City Council sugg�sted that the City Planner contact the Cities of Minnetonka and Plymouth for their applications concerning Industrial Revenue Bonds to be discussed at the joint Council and Planning Commission meeting on February 4 , 1981.
