Weed, 1385 Orono Lane : When are you to going to <br /> reconsider reducing our assessment cost for Orono Lane <br /> and West Ferndale? <br /> Mayor Van Nest: As soon as we resolve the Minnetonka <br /> Bluffs matter, Mr. Weed. <br /> Hurr moved, Butler seconded, to assess only the <br /> Minnetonka Bluffs area units a portion of all preliminary <br /> costs to date including a portion of the lift station <br /> to be constructed to serve the Orono Lane , West Ferndale <br /> and Minneto�ka Bluffs areas. Letter to be mailed to <br /> all Bluffs residents outlining these costs which total <br /> $1,834 . 68 per unit. Motion, Ayes (1) - Nays (4) . <br /> Councilmember Hurr Aye. Motion failed. <br /> Mayor Van Nest moved, Butler seconded, that in the event <br /> the City does adopt a resolution to order in the sewer <br /> improvement for the Minnetonka Bluffs area and to proceed <br /> with the sewer construction for the Minnetonka Bluffs <br /> area and award the construction project to the. low and <br /> responsible bidder , the City of Orono will modify the <br /> Minnetonka Bluffs assessment roll and reduce the assessment <br /> to $9 , 833 . In the event the City of Orono does receive <br /> easements andsettlement of appeals at no added cost to <br /> the City prior to November 10 , 1980 , the City Council <br /> at that Council meeting will reduce the assessment <br /> for the Minnetonka Bluffs area $2 , 500 to $7, 333 per unit. <br /> Motion, Ayes (4) - Nays (1) . Councilmember Hurr Nay. <br /> Mr . Weed: Mr. Mayor, when are you going to review a <br /> $2, 500 reduction for our area? <br /> Mayor Van Nest: In a monent, Mr. Weed. <br /> Mayor Van Nest moved, Butler seconded, to adopt RESOLUTION #1220 <br /> Resolution #1�20 , ordering in the sewer improvement Minnetonka Bluffs <br /> and proceed with the sewer construction for Minnetonka <br /> Bluffs area awarding the construction project to the <br /> Latour Construction Company as the low and responsible <br /> bidder as per the City Engineer ' s bid tabluation <br /> authorizing the Mayor and City Administrator to sign <br /> contracts. Motion, Ayes (4) - Nays (1) . Councilmember <br /> Hurr Nay. <br /> Mayor Van Nest: It must be understood that easements <br /> and appeals have to be resolved to assure reduced <br /> assessments. It is now up to all of you to cooperate <br /> in this matter. Now, Mr. Weed, I offer this motion for <br /> consideration of the Council. � <br />
