REGULAR MEETING OF THE ORONO COUNCIL, JULY 28 , 1980 Page 27 <br /> Alan Olson, City Planner, entered into the record TAX FORFEIT LAND <br /> the following concerning tax forfeit properties - <br /> List 658 NC, dated July 25, 1980 , which states: <br /> With their typical short notice, the County requests <br /> review of seven parcels. Staff review was done by <br /> John Gerhardson, Alan _Olson, and Jeanne Mabusth. <br /> Staff recommends release of most parcels per the <br /> attached resolution. <br /> Staff recommends retention of #5 adjacent to already- <br /> owned Highwood Nature Trail access per the other <br /> attached resolution. <br /> We request Council direction on Parcel 7 at Lyric <br /> Avenue and Shadywood Road. This is adjacent to <br /> the Navarre Park acquired tax-forfeit last year <br /> and now being cleared. If this area is ever to <br /> be expanded, then we should request retention of <br /> this parcel now. John Gerhardson notes the existing <br /> area is small. If on the other hand, Council does not <br /> want to enlarge the area, then release the land. <br /> It is currently zoned B-1 (mostly) although the new <br /> CMP shows residential.
