REGULAR MEETING OF THE ORONO COUNCIL, JULY 28 , 1980 Page 27 Alan Olson, City Planner, entered into the record TAX FORFEIT LAND the following concerning tax forfeit properties - List 658 NC, dated July 25, 1980 , which states: With their typical short notice, the County requests review of seven parcels. Staff review was done by John Gerhardson, Alan _Olson, and Jeanne Mabusth. Staff recommends release of most parcels per the attached resolution. Staff recommends retention of #5 adjacent to already- owned Highwood Nature Trail access per the other attached resolution. We request Council direction on Parcel 7 at Lyric Avenue and Shadywood Road. This is adjacent to the Navarre Park acquired tax-forfeit last year and now being cleared. If this area is ever to be expanded, then we should request retention of this parcel now. John Gerhardson notes the existing area is small. If on the other hand, Council does not want to enlarge the area, then release the land. It is currently zoned B-1 (mostly) although the new CMP shows residential. This lot will be added to the appropriate resolution per Council ' s decision. Land Steve Quincey, City Engineer, reviewed a memo TRAFFIC SIGNAL prepared by Glenn Hawkyard, City Assessor, Old Crystal Bay Road & concerning an appraisal of easement valuation for #12 the traffic signal and road widening at Old Crystal Bay Road and Highway #12, dated July 16 , 1980 , which states: I have completed an updated appraisal of the subject property as you have reguested for determining a fair market valuation for the damages in loss of land, trees and temporary easement resulting from the road widening, as follows: (Continued)
