REGULAR MEETING OF THE ORONO COUNCIL, JUNE 2 , 1980 Page 33 Letter received from Gregg Hannah, dated April 16 , COUNCIL CANDIDATES 1980 states: (Continued) "This serves as formal notification of my interest in being considered for appointment to the Orono City Council seat recently vacated by Walter Massengale. As you know, I have served in every capacity on the Orono Planning Commission over the last six years. I think this experience could now be appropriately utilized and expanded upon at the City Council level . I would be available 'to meet with the City Council at their convenience . " End of letter Mr. Wilson and Mr. Hannah were present to be inter- viewed by the City Council. Mayor Van Nest requested the appointment to be entered on the June 30 , 1980 Council agenda. Butler moved, Paurus seconded, to approve the CABLE TV MEETING Minutes of the Cable TV Committee Meeting of MINUTES* May 29 , 1980 . Motion, Ayes (4) - Nays (0) . Dick Benson, City Administrator , reviewed with FARVIEW LAKE ACCESS the City Council a proposed letter to be sent to Velie/Gibbs all of the Orono residents in the Farview Addition concerning the Velie/Gibbs lake access. Mayor Van Nest moved, Hurr seconded, to approve PUBLIC HEARING DATE the letter to be sent to the residents in the Farview Lake Access Farview Addition lake access area and to call a public hearing to review the matter on June 30 , 1980 at 7: 15 P.M. Motion, Ayes (4) - Nays (0) . Butler moved, Paurus seconded, to approve the LICENSES* following licenses: Motion, Ayes (4 ) - Nays (0) .
