Butler <br /> The Council vacancy created by Mr. Massengale ' s <br /> transfer to the west coast has also caused a <br /> vacancy in the Acting Mayor ' s position. <br /> Councilmember Mary Butler has indicated her <br /> desire to fill this position. <br /> With Council approval , this position should be <br /> filled Monday evening, May 12 , 1980 . <br /> Council Meeting May 12', 1980 <br /> Mayor Van Nest moved, Hurr seconded, to appoint <br /> Mary C. Butler as Acting Mayor to fill the <br /> vacancy left by Mr . S. I . S. JOINT POWER <br /> City Council with a memo dated May 9 , 1980 , AGREEMENT* <br /> which states: <br /> We have withheld resubmitting the I. S. I .S. <br /> proposal pending local meetings with police <br /> chiefs of departr�nts of cities contiguous to <br /> Orono. The I. S.
