Motion, Sewers <br /> Aye s (4) - Nay s (0 ) . <br /> Dick Benson, City Administrator, presented the SEWER & WATER <br /> City Council with a memo dated May 9 , 1980 which Orono School Area <br /> states: <br /> Long Lake Mayor Diane Gallagher has informed me <br /> that the City Council has determined that they , <br /> cannot continue to provide the Orono commercial and <br /> school area with City water. <br /> The existing Long Lake water system is not adequate <br /> to continue to suppl� water to Orono and improvements <br /> to upgrade their present system has been determined <br /> through a feasibility study to be too costly. <br /> The present water and sewer agreement will terminate <br /> July 18 , 1981. <br /> I recommend an engineering study be conducted by <br /> Orono ' s City Engineer to determine the feasibili�y <br /> of constructing our own system. <br /> Council _Meeting - May 12 , 1980 <br /> Mayor Van Nest moved, Butler seconded, to request <br /> the City Engineer to submit an estimate to perform <br /> the feasibility study at the June 2 , 1980 Council <br /> meeting.
