(Continued) Debt service payments will be monitbred to allow analysis of possible growing debt burden. A steady pattern of budget over-runs in specific departments will be closely watched. Mandated costs that are subject to legal or larger government controls cannot be curtailed but an increase indicates an adjustment has to be made. Our enterprise funds will be measured closely to check any operating losses. Opera�ion efficiency might have to be improved at times. To conclude, the City is a business that is dependent upon revenues to exist. Investments, revenue shortfalls, increased tax delinguencies, short term-long term debt obligations, capital outlays and enterprise funds will be monitored to assure fiscal stability. Dick Benson also reported on the Liquor Store inventory, dated April 3 , 1980 : Immediate steps that have been taken are to reduce the Liquor Store inventory. We will maintain a reduced inventory relative to sales. We are reviewing the amount of venders serving us. These will also be reduced in number. As time passes, other functions will be evaluated subject to activity. Butler moved, Hurr seconded, to approve the bid CARPET SALES & SERVICE* of Carpet Sales and Service in the amount of $1,627 to replace the carpet for the Police and Public Works Departments. Motion, Ayes (4) - Nays (0) . Butler moved, Hurr seconded, to approve the dates SPRING CLEANUP DAYS* of May 10 and May 17, 1980 from 8: 00 A.
