•, REGULAR MEETING OF THE ORONO COUNCIL, APRIL 14 , 1980 Page 60
For your review, please find Orono' s Resolution #1106 , HIGHWAY CONSTRUCTION*
which really does request adherence to a prioritized (Continued)
scheduling of an overall plan to provide alternative
routes from the western Lake Minnetonka communities
to the Twin Cities.
Orono does recognize that developing alternate
routes to the Twin Cities will not significantly
reduce existing traffic volumes on the internal
road system, but it is reasonable to anticipate
that future growth will occur in the western Lake
Minnetonka area and an alternate route to accommodate
commuter traffic to the Twin Cities is of extreme
importance to all of us.
Again, thank you for your effort on this matter. "
End of letter
Council Meeting - April 14 , 1980
Butler moved, Hurr seconded, to approve the above
letter to A. J.
