P�otion, Ayes (4) - <br /> Nays (0) . <br /> Dick Benson, City Administrator, presented the GRANT-IN-AID PROGRAM* <br /> City Council with a memo prepared by Chief Kilbo <br /> concerning the Hennepin County Criminal Justice <br /> Coordinating Council, dated April 3, 1980 , which <br /> states: <br /> The Hennepin County Criminal Justice Coordinating <br /> Council, at a meeting February 14 , 1980 recommended <br /> the following of its member units of government: <br /> "The HCCJCC recommends that its member units of <br /> government continue to participate under the new <br /> LEAA Legislation as a joint Hennepin County, <br /> City of Minneapolis and suburban unit of government <br /> combination entitlement jurisdiction and it is <br /> further recommended that a continued discussion <br /> and exploration of a viable balance-of-state concept <br /> be pursued with representatives of other units of <br /> government within the Metropolitan area and the <br /> Crime Control Planning Board. " <br /> Local units of government must formally advise the <br /> Minnesota Crime Control Planning Board of their <br /> intentions by April 7, 1980. They further stated <br /> they will accept resolution coming in shortly <br /> thereafter. <br /> I have reviewed the changes and recommend the City <br /> of Orono pass the resolution and send it to HCCJCC <br /> at A2308 Government Center, Minneapolis, Mn. 55487. , <br /> Council Meeting - April 14 , 1980 <br /> Butler moved, Hurr seconded, to adopt Resolution RESOLUTION #1136* <br /> #1136 , A Resolution Concerning The LEAA Federal Grant-In-Aid Program <br /> Grant-In-Aid Program.
