. • ' Page 12 <br /> ��1 E M 0 R A N D U M -2- February 5,� 1980 <br /> Estimated <br /> Project Project Cost <br /> Land Acquisition and Site Improvements for Sludge <br /> and Ash Disposal $ 6,600,000 <br /> Meter Station Improver�ents 1 ,000,000 <br /> Lake Gervais Interceptor 6,600,000 <br /> Lower Beltline Interceptor 3,600,000 <br /> Seneca WWTP Slud�e Handling Facilities 2,350,000 <br /> Seneca WWTP Air Quality Improvements 1 ,100,000 <br /> The list of above projects was formulated in late January when the Corrrnission <br /> and Council staffs met to discuss projects to be contained in the proposed <br /> program and their status to the Council 's Policy Plan and their eligibility <br /> to be placed on the MPCA's Construction Grants List. The Council staff <br /> feels that their policy plan will have to be amended to include the Seneca <br /> WWTP projects, the land acquisition and site improvements, the meterinc� <br /> station improvements, and the MWWTP Additional Secondary Treatment Facilities. <br /> The information required by the Council to make the policy plan amendments <br /> is contained in the subject development program, <br /> A71 of the proposed projects will have been thoroughly scrutinized by the <br /> public before they are finally adopted in the program. The projects have all <br /> evolved out of the current 201 planning effort which has been presented to <br /> the public through public information meetings. The staff has sent letters <br /> listing the above projects to the effected local governments for their infor- <br /> mation and corrQnent as per the program procedures contained in the Council ' s <br /> Policy Plan. The corrIInunities and other interested parties may also make <br /> corrments during the Council 's 90 day review and approval period. <br /> RECOMMENDATION <br /> It is recommended that the Commission approve the Development Program for <br /> Years1980 - 1984 and request the Metropolitan Council to approve the <br /> proposed program. It is further recorrpnended that the Commission request the <br /> Metropolitan Council to amend their policy plan as necessary to include the <br /> subject projects in their policy plan. <br /> Reviewed by: Prepared by: <br /> J� / . <br /> A.
