� RF.C'�U�LAR MEETING OF THE ORONO COUNCIL, DECEr4BER 11, 1979 Page 21 <br /> The concensus o� this meeting was to a�noint a HENPIEPIPJ COUNTY ROAD #15 <br /> rePresentative from each community to draft a Navarre to Mound <br /> resolution to present to their Councils for (Continued) <br /> approval. <br /> I have attached a resolution adopted in 1970 f_or <br /> your thoughts and consideration before we cormmit <br /> ourselves to exPloring a resolution that would <br /> stimulate an agreement to a resolution drafted <br /> by cities that will encourage additional traffic <br /> to Orono, the Heart of Lake PZinnetonka. <br /> PZy recommendation is that we do not participate <br /> in considering alternatives to improving HennePin <br /> County #15 in Orono, other than maintaining <br /> its original design. I would also recommend <br /> Orono resubmit a resolution regarding Henne�in <br /> County �15 and its desires to route traf_fic not <br /> into the Lake area but out of the Lake area to <br /> the north and south and maintain a scenic route <br /> conce�t within the Lake area on streets that <br /> are �resently serving the area. <br /> Council P�eeting - December 11, 1979 <br /> PZayor Van Nest rec�uested staff to contact an <br /> independent consultant to review HennePin <br /> County' s traffic analysis. <br /> Dick Benson, City Administrator, presented the COr2rqUNITY ADVISORY <br /> following letter to the City Council, ��.�dressed COMP2ITTFE APPOINTEE <br /> to r4s. Judith 'RcC�urt, �Zetr� Transit Coru�ission, <br /> dated December 4, 1979 , which states: <br /> "'t'hank you for your letter inviting P4r_ . �erhardson <br /> to serve on the Community Advisory Committee for <br /> the Lake Minnetonka area paratransit system. <br /> Councilr►ember Norman Paurus served on the Trans- <br /> portation Committee as a designated appointee for <br /> several years. <br /> Councilmertber JoEllen Hurr, who joined our Council <br /> last _year, has been anpointed to our Transnortation <br /> Committee replacing P4r. Paurus and I am sure she <br /> would be more than enthusiastic to advise ��ou as a <br /> raertber of the Cor,ununity Advisory Committee. <br /> Please f_eel free to advise us if this meets ��our <br /> approval.
