RE�ULAR P7EETING OF THE ORONO COUNCIL, OCTOBER 16 , 1979 Page 19 Dick Benson, City Administrator, nresented the Er4ER�ENCY HOUSIN�* City Council with a memo froM Chief of Police Kilho concerning Emergency Iiousing �rran�ements dated October 3, 1979 , which states: In line with Governor nuie' s letter dated Sent- eMber 19, 1979 , I have made arran�ements with � Dr. Lennon for use of the Orono P�Iiddle and Fiiqh School facilities for emergency housing in northern areas of Orono. I am in the process of getting final nermission from Gray Freshwater Biological Institute for er.iergency housing in the southern part of_ Orono. I have talked to Joan �irard, 471-8476 , ��ho will expedite final aPproval. The Orono Police Department will he the emergency referral point, and will have Phone numhers of key people in above organizations. � � Long La}�e ' s emergenc�r housing will be at St. � (�eorge ' s Church. P4innetonka Beach' s er.lergency housing center will I be the Lafayette Club. A notice for the Orono newsletter has been pre- pared, i Council r2eeting - October 16 , 1979 �, Butler moved, 14assengale seconded, to apnrove the er.iergency housing centers as stated above, r2otion, Ayes (4) - Nays (0) . Dick Benson, City Administrator, presented the City SAC REFUTJD* Council �vith a memo from P'Iichael �atfron, Septic 2�460 Dunwoody Avenue System Inspector dated October 9 , 1979, which states: �Vidmer Brothers has requested a refund of a SAC charge and perr.iit fee for the above residence. r'[rs. Schaeffer' s home was on our list of rec�uired connections since no permit or record of hookup was in our �iles. Wiclmer Brothers obtained the permit and �aid the SAC charge on October 3, 1979. On October 5, 1979 , �7idmers started excavation and found that the sewer had been previously connected. Our dye test confirmed the hookup. Pleither P4rs. Schaeffer nor the City was aware that the connection had heen cor.lpleted at some prior time. (Continued)
