Box 66 <br /> Crystal Bay, Minnesota 55323 <br /> Dear Mr. Benson: <br /> Thank you for your efforts in arranging the "inforraation meeting" <br /> last evening, which was interesting and of value to me, as a resi- <br /> dent of Orono . <br /> This is ny first complaint in nearly 20 years and briefly repeatin <br /> myself , I am quite concerned with the apparent lack of interest by <br /> our City in the "work" being done to ins�all the sewer lines , es- <br /> pecially along Shoreline Drive where our home is located. <br /> The excavation or trenching work began in early May causing our <br /> main entrance an d driveway, along with culvert under our driveway <br /> entrance to be dug up. It has remained in that condition ever <br /> since. Our mail box was removed so that we have had to go to the <br /> post office in Wayzata to receive our mail. The postal carrier <br /> will not drive in mud and the mail box must be exactly 40 inches <br /> above ground level . Our entrance is a continuing sea of mud sinc� <br /> the culvert was removed and it may never be replaced. The bank <br /> along our driveway was dug into so far as to destroy a number of <br /> trees . We were notified to remove two very large trees at my ex- <br /> pense, that were da�aged by this project. The unsightly piles of <br /> debris left along our road and partial dumping of unneeded fill <br /> into the nearby lowlands has disfigured this area severely and if <br /> I as a resident were to dump one yard of fill in this wetland are <br /> I'd be fined for doing so, yet someone permits all this to go on. <br /> As you can gather, I am very annoyed by all this and I repeat no <br /> one there seems to care. I am on the verge of deciding to commen <br /> a class action suit in order to determine exactly who is responsi <br /> fo� this boondoggle operation, who permits whoever it is to ob°dc <br /> our City codes and what can be done to correct it, get the j <br /> and get these clowns out of there.
