� REGULAR MEETING OF THE ORONO COUNCTL, SEPmEMBER 25, 1979 Page 21 t�ayor Van Nest presented the City Council with REGIONAL t�EETING REPORT a letter from Charles �Veaver, Chairman of the t4etropolitan Council, dated Septemher 17 , 1979, which states: "I want to express a personal note of thanks to you and to Orono for hosting the Council' s regional meeting the other evening. Your hospitality was most appreciated. The meeting was a good forum for the exchange of ideas between local officials and m_yself. I apnreciated the opportunity to hear first- hand the concerns local officials have about the P9etropolitan Council activities. " End of letter Dick Benson, Citv Administrator, informed the COt4PREHEr1SIVE SEiaER PLAN City Council that we have taken a hard and soft line in approaching the Metropolitan Waste Control Commission to accept Orono' s interiri Comprehensive Sewer Plan. I recommend we arrange a meeting with the P�IWCC to encourage resolving our current impasse. Piayor Van Nest requested staff_ to arrange a meeting with the proper authorities to discuss Orono' s Comprehensive Sewer Plan.
