REGULAR PiEETING OF THE ORONO COUNCIL, JULY 24 , 1979 Page 19 <br /> Mayor Van Nest moved, Butler seconded, to adopt ORDINANCE NO. 224 <br /> Ordinance No. 224, An Ordinance Extending The Stubbs Bay Area <br /> Duration Of A Moratorium On The Granting Of Moratorium Extended <br /> Building Permits, Land Subdivisions, Rezoning <br /> Applications, Conditional Or Special Use Permits, <br /> Variance Or Other Authority For Additional Develop- <br /> ment In The Stubbs Bay Area Of The City Of Orono. <br /> Motion, Ayes (5) - Nays (0) . <br /> Councilmember Paurus left the Council Chambers <br /> at 10: 40 P.M. <br /> Mayor Van Nest moved, Butler seconded, to table STUBBS BAY riARINA <br /> the Stubbs Bay Marina 1979 license at the request <br /> of the applicant. Motion, Ayes (4) - Nays (0) . <br /> The applicant and legal representative for the NORiH SHORE DRIVE MARIN� <br /> North Shore Drive Marina were not present. <br /> Applicant was to submit survey showing dock <br /> configuration and seawall for staff review before <br /> the Council meeting. <br /> Mayor Van Nest requested staff to submit a letter <br /> to Pir. Bruce Douglas requesting infornation for <br /> staff review. <br /> Mayor Van Nest moved, Butler seconded, to table GAYLES PIARINA <br /> the Gayles A4arina license for 1979 until the next <br /> Council meeting. Applicant was not present. <br /> Mayor Van Nest requested staff to submit a letter <br /> to Mr. Bruce Douglas informing him that action <br /> will be taken at the next Council meeting. P�otion, <br /> Ayes (4) - Nays (0) . <br /> Mr. Michale P. Gaffron, Septic System Inspector, ON-SITE SEPTIC <br /> presented the City Council with the following INSPECTION REPORT <br /> meno, On-Site Inspection Report: <br /> Introduction <br /> My recent inspection of the Minnetonka Bluffs and <br /> Shoreline Drive/West Ferndale Road/Orono Lane <br /> neighborhoods has revealed serious on-site sewage <br /> treatment and disposal problems. Small lot sizes, <br /> severe topography, wetlands, high water table and <br /> tight clay soils are site factors limiting the <br /> reconstruction or replacement of existing septic <br /> systems in these areas. I propose that municipal <br /> sanitary sewer laterals be extended to service the <br /> existing homes to alleviate the problem. (Continued) <br />
