Councilmember <br /> Paurus arrived at 8: 15 P.P�i. Also present: City <br /> Administrator Benson, City Planner Olson, City Attorney <br /> Psalkerson, and City Engineer Cook. <br /> q <br /> i2avor Van Nest announced that now was the time and PUBLIC HEARIPdG <br /> place for the public hearing regarding the proposed Uniform Fire Code <br /> adoption of the P'tinnesota Uniform Fire Code. City <br /> Administrator Benson presented the Plotice of Public <br /> Iiearing and the Affidavit of Publication. <br /> P�ayor Van Nest inquired if anyone present wished <br /> to be heard. The following responded: <br /> Mr. Gabriel Jabbour, Planning Comr�ission rler*tber, <br /> cor.unented that the consensus of the Planning <br /> Comr.iission was that the gas storage regulations <br /> were too restrictive. <br /> tir. James Cox, 2225 Sixth Avenue North, cor,u*iented <br /> that the storage of gas was too restrictive for <br /> farming purposes. <br /> After all persons present had an opportunity to <br /> be heard, the public hearing was closed at 7: 12 P.M. <br /> r4avor Van Nest announced that now was the time and PUBLIC HEARING <br /> place for the public hearing regarding proposed Gasoline Storage <br /> amendments to the Zoning Code relating to the <br /> storage of gasoline and other flamMable liquids <br /> within the City. City Administrator Benson presented <br /> the Notice of Public Hearing and the Affidavit of <br /> Publication. � <br /> 2layor Van Pdest inquired if anyone present wished <br /> to be heard. <br /> i�4r. Alan Olson, City Planner, presented the following <br /> r.iemo to the City Council dated July 18, 1979 , which <br /> states: <br /> After listening to your comments and suggestions, <br /> I have made several rainor changes and additions to <br /> the basic fire code adoptive ordinance. I have also <br /> pulled out those sections which were written as <br /> additions to the basic code for more detailed study <br /> and comments. (Continued) <br />
